No good title for this

Hello from Gili Air , yup we have moved again, we're in the Gili islands off of Lombok and more specifically we're at a restaurant named Scallywags and I'm eating tuna sashimi in a third world country... could be a bad culinary choice, I'm sure we'll find out.

So recapping a bit, diving on Bunaken was mind blowing, we saw amazing stuff... mandarinfish, pipefish, frogfish, twinspot lionfish, wonderful coral walls,all of it was great. we did a great 3 dive day trip out to banka island and then the boat ride back was under the stars and a half moon, just beautiful. Curtis celebrated his birthday while we were there, he was serenaded by the staff in english and indonesian AND they had birthday cake for him, not chocolate. Then the staff got together and sang and danced for us the rest of the night, pretty talented bunch. For some reason I'm getting bitten by every bug in Indonesia, I am pretty much a scratching mess with a pretty good tan.
We left Bunaken island friday afternoon after a couple of dives in the morning and stayed at a hotel in Manado over night....vodka , a sports channel on TV and a hot water shower oh and vodka...AHHHHHH!!! great except for the 330am wake up call by accident and then the real wake up call at 430am. So 3 flights later we're in Mataram on Lombok, 2 hrs by car we're at Bangsal harbour on the coast, 1/2 hr later by boat we're on Gili Air and we last another 4 hrs and go to bed. Good night Gracie!!
Carrie and I were here on Gili 3 years ago when we were in Indonesia last time, things have changed WOW!! still no cars or scooters which is great, there are 8 dive shops instead of 3 and lots more hotels and stuff, not the quiet little island from before... on the other hand lots of tourists and young people, much better for David's social life rather than hanging out with the old people (that would be reference to us ) Diving here has been curious, which is code for ...average and somewhat unorganized. Curiously I have been recognized from the last time we were here by a couple of people...so that means I'm so stunningly good looking, people remember me or... so funny looking, people remember me, going with the former for now..uhhh and no comments please. Gonna try and be a little better about writing in this last week we are here. AHHH yes famous last words.
